Hey. I’ve piqued your interest, haven’t I?

Welcome to my brand spanking new newsletter. It sounds weird to say ‘new newsletter’ doesn’t it? Oh, well. We digress.

I’m Em, a bit of a jack of all trades, and master of a couple. I’m a marketer, media planner, writer, poet, surfer, hiker, former people-pleaser and ex-coffee addict, and breathwork teacher.

I own an online women’s magazine called The C Word which is my ultimate passion project - so for that, I wear many hats. I write, edit, create content, schedule social media, create newsletters, and forge partnerships with some of the best female-founded brands in town. I’m a one-woman band in a sense, save the fact that I have some incredible helpers and supporters. Maybe, I’m just a control freak?

After 8 years of living in London and working in the Advertising and Marketing industries with brands like L’Oréal, Garnier, CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, SkinCeuticals, Kérastase, Redken, GSK, Sartoria, Coq d’Argent, Bounce Ping Pong and Puttshack, I decided to pack it all in after a not-quite break up with a guy I liked. Isn’t that always the way? I ended up travelling for 6 months around Central America from December 2023 until the end of May 2024, and let me tell you, that trip was life-changing. I now freelance as a Marketing & Breathwork Consultant for some incredible female founders in the wellness, lifestyle and beauty industries, and I finally love my job!

So every month - because who genuinely has time for weekly or daily - I’ll be sliding into your inbox like a smooth little emailing dolphin. Unlike a dolphin, this will be a silent slide - no eeeking in sight. True to a dolphin’s spirit, however, these newsletters will be filled with fun, love, support, and playfulness about what it is to be an imperfect human and this crazy thing we call life.
