October: Not Just a Month—A Mindset
A seriously late one from October. Almost a whole month late, in fact.
I wrote a LinkedIn post about October not being just a month— and reiterating the fact that it’s a mindset.
I’d gone heavy on embracing October Theory—the idea of going all in now, instead of waiting for January to set those big goals and resolutions. And let me tell you, it was (and still is) a game-changer.
October was about momentum, action, and making moves that I know will shape the months ahead.
Here's a glimpse of what I got up to:
Professional Wins
☾ Signed three incredible new clients:
An electric car company in Chamonix.
A London-based ad agency via Upwork.
A newly launched Reformer Pilates studio in Manchester founded by retired Olympic Gymnast, Ellie Downie MBE.
☾ Delivered huge growth for a client—on Instagram, their website, and their first month of sales.
☾ Began collaborating with WeAre8 for an exciting partnership with The C Word Mag. (including an incredibly inspiring interview with their founder, Zoe Kalar!). For those who don’t know WeAre8, Zoe is taking on big techs like Facebook and Google to challenge their money-making schemes and algorithms whilst she creates a social platform that eliminates hate speech, prioritises content in a safe environment and a place where engagement and freedom of speech are paramount. You can find me on the platform at @_emnco or on @_TheCWordMag.
Personal Growth
☾ Made a bold move and relocated to Lisbon for a few months. I’ve been soaking up beach days and even rediscovered my love for surfing.
☾ Tried padel—a sport I didn’t know I’d love, but I’m officially hooked.
☾ Witnessed the infamous waves of Nazaré. Okay, maybe not the record-breaking ones, but at 18ft, they were still impressive.
New Ventures
☾ Building The Breathwork Collective—an affordable subscription for busy city folk—(this launched on 15th November).
☾ Published 31 articles for The C Word Mag.
☾ Preparing to launch The C Word Classroom, a new platform to spotlight women’s courses and digital products.
☾ Wrote for Found & Flourish on 2024 marketing trends.
☾ Developing an elevated 2025 client offering for female founders. This is going to be something completely new, and I can’t wait to share more soon.
Community Moments
I connected with so many incredible women in October—mentoring, collaborating, and learning. To everyone who shared advice, encouragement, or inspiration: thank you.
The momentum in October was undeniable.
If this month taught me anything, it’s that there’s no need to wait for January to step into the energy of new beginnings.
What about you—are you diving into your goals now, or are you waiting for the clock to strike 2025?
(PS: Stay tuned for updates on everything launching soon—including The Breathwork Collective and The C Word Classroom. I promise my November update won’t be this late!)
